It appears that Epic may soon add two new items to Fortnite, which one called Shadow Bombs and another called Drones, according to the Dataminers.
First, the Shadow Bomb was found in the game files after the 8.30 update on April 10, there's a string of data within the game files connected to challenges that hint at a "Shadow Bomb" needing to become utilized in diverse matches for the challenge's completion.
More importantly, there was even an audio file leaked for the Shadow Bomb, and people can hear quite ominous sounds while it's played. Although unconfirmed, the Shadow Bomb may be a variant of the Fortnite Shadow Stone. Or it may be a new type of AoE explosive.
Shortly after the discovery of the Shadow Bomb, a thing called Zebulon Drone was found in the same updated file.
Unlike Shadow Bombs, Zebulon Drone has no sound file and is only mentioned in a small piece of code in Fortnite's game files. In addition, it is not clear whether it is an item or a weapon, and given its special name, it may be suitable for Save the World rather than Battle Royale.
Except to not knowing what the Shadow Bomb and Zebulon Drones are, there is no way to know if they will be added to Epic Games' online multiplayer shooter because there are many fortnite new items found through the data mine in the past that never made the cut. Despite this, a large number of objects discovered through data mines eventually became official assets. For example, Fortnite's Reboot Vans were unearthed through leaks before they added to the game so Shadow Bombs and Zebulon Drones might be added.
With all the things in mind, we will have to keep up with Epic Games' official news about whether Shadow Bombs and Zebulon Drones are scheduled for future updates at Fortnite. Between now and then, maybe another piece of data will fall to help determine exactly what these items are and when Epic can bring them into the game.
